Protein Pancakes.

My new favorite breakfast consists of protein pancakes. I heard about this concoction and decided to give it a try. I found that omitting and adding certain ingredients to my liking have turned the once bland recipe into something delicious and tasty. They are packed with protein because you’re using egg whites, low fat cottage cheese and vanilla protein powder. Here is the recipe! It’s absolutely delicious, satisfying and healthier than any regular pancakes could ever dream to be.

This recipe makes about 2 medium sized pancakes.

1/4 cup rolled oats

1/4 egg whites

1/2 banana (mashed)

1 1/2 scoops of vanilla protein powder

1 1/2 scoops of low-fat cottage cheese

2 tbs ground flax seeds

1 tsp cinnamon

1 splash of vanilla extract

1/2 lemon (zested)

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.

Spray your pan with PAM, over medium heat. (they can burn easily, so make sure you keep the flame on medium)

Flip pancakes when they start to slightly bubble.

Top with organic agave nectar or your favorite fruits!
