Le Pain Quotidien

Whenever my girlfriend is in town from NYC, I tend to eat out a bit more. With so much to catch up on, it’s best to not alternate between conversation, hot ovens and sharp objects.

We found ourselves in Santa Monica, watching all the yogis come to and from class, while simultaneously smelling the pacific ocean. Le Pain Quotidien, one of our favorite spots, was where we rested our bodies after a full day of  shopping and staring at strangers.

Tuscan White Bean & Prosciutto Salad with Arugula, shaved Parmesan and Basil croutons.

Organic Quinoa Taboulè with Arugula, Chickpeas, Avocado and Lemon.

 

*Chickpeas are a great source of protein and dietary fiber, which helps improve the absorption of nutrients. They also contain iron, zinc and magnesium, which promotes the health of the cardiovascular system.

*Avocados contain a heart healthy fat that contains lycopene, a potential cancer-fighting agent. They’re also high in potassium, which can help ward off high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke
